I know I’m a little late to the post, Ive been a little under the weather this week. Dang allergies and this freaking Houston weather WILL you MAKE UP your MIND already. Cold hot, cool, hot, Humid, cold, cool, hot COME on already.
I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving, we had such a great time with family low key hanging out!
We had Stacey, Stella and Jack spend the whole weekend with us, so much fun loved having them at the house spending lots of quality time together! It was so fun waking up to little feet around the house. We also celebrated Gmaw’s Birthday Saturday. Stacey and I went through our baby registry at buy buy baby (here is our registry ID if you are interested 548123268 )to finalize somethings, since she has been there and done that it was SO nice to have someone to say NOPE that brand sucks get this one instead, or hey your going to need this add it or just help with little things I had added and had questions about! Matt and his dad painted Finley’s room!! Things are getting excited. We will wait till Christmas is over to have the carpets cleaned then it’s on like donkey Kong her room will be coming together! Lots of progress photos to come on our Instagram @journey_2_our_family this is where you will find the most up to date on what we are doing!
I began the Christmas decorating on Sunday, photos to come once I finish. This is my most favorite time of year, I love all the decorations, I’m obsessed with Santa’s and snowman, rustic and unique decor. All the food and gatherings, the over abundance of family time it so cheerful! I love walking into the house and seeing the Christmas tree’s, the lights and all the glitter
(my husband hates all the glitter) we are still picking up pieces of the tree from last year. Well I could go on and on about Christmas decorations but I know you ALL want to know how Finley is doing! Who loves going to look at Christmas lights as much as I do, I call that a fabulous date night with some hot chocolate, if its ever cold outside.
We are 18 Weeks as of Sunday Nov. 25, 2019! 4 Months left! Bump photo at the end!
This week Finley will be growing to the size of a cucumber or a cute Sugar glider. By the end of this week she will be roughly 5.5 inches and weighing in around 5-6.5oz only 22 weeks to go!!!! She will be here before we know it and boy am I’m excited Matt and I cannot wait to meet our baby girl!
This week Finley will learn how to yawn and begin hiccuping, I’ve not felt her hiccup or if I have Ive not realized it. She is still moving around lots which is so fun to feel her little movements. Finley’s Nervous system is maturing this week, her nerves are now covered with mylein which is a protective insulation, that will help speed messages from nerve cells to others. Her brain is developing more as she discovers senses like touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing! She is becoming more aware of sounds and noises around her on the outside! So crazy we could both be listening to each other hiccup at some point. Finley’s tiny finger prints have finished their development to where she has her very own unique set of prints! Her bones are beginning to hardening starting with her legs and collarbone.
Well I’m doing great loving this baby bump rubbing on her and talking to her! Monday I woke up with a little sinus drainage which is never fun since sinus allergy crap always knocks me down on the ground, achy body, left work early so I could go home and rest, was in bed by 7:00pm. woke up feeling worse so I stayed home Tuesday to rest more, throughout the day I began to feel better and today I’m feeling 80% better! Thank goodness it was nothing serious as I don’t even want to take Tylenol or anything at that during this pregnancy, makes me so nervous. Other than belly growing nothing has changed, my hips have begun to hurt faster throughout the day if I have been on my feet for a long period but can’t complain at all She is kicking and loving life in my belly! We made homemade Chicken Noodle soup last night SO good, I swear it’s the cure all for everything! We have also begun to start looking for pediatricians!
